Sidech : Not what I expected

About
Acer ASPIRE V3-771G-736b8G1TMaii Pros: Fast, speedy response, good features for the price
Cons: Bad Nvidia video card out of box, code 43 no matter what operating system or drivers used. Now I have to deal with Acer support to RMA it.
Iffy hardware reliability, as is usual with Acers i have used before.
Jim : Best Touchscreen for the money

About
ASUS VivoBook S500CA Pros: Quality Construction; Low Power Consumption; Easy To Set Up; Super quiet
Cons: Transitioning To Win 8
After using for three weeks I have noticed I am now getting used to the soft touch of the keyboard and Win 8. The screen clarity is excellent, the touchscreen is very responsive and this is by far the quietest laptop I have ever owned. I could never go back to a laptop that didn't boot ths fast. The speakers also sound good even though I had my doubts with their location. I think you will enjoy it as much as I do. I would suggest typing on one first to try out the softer touch keys.
30yrTech : I LOVE this Notebook.

About
Acer ASPIRE V3-771G-736b8G1TMaii Pros: Display is rich in color. Core i7 is FAST. GT 730m Graphics are excellent (I know it isn't a GTX but you are not maying for the GTX either). Yes you can disable the touch pad so it won't interfere with your typing (control panel). I would say the nicest thing of all is dual HD bays, 4 dimm slots, notebook is light for a 17".
Cons: Windows 8, For a phone or tablet a fine OS. For a notebook or desktop it is TRASH! But that is a Microsoft issue and should not be held against Acer or this notebook.
I am spoiled by SSD so I would recommend buying an SSD and installing windows 7 to it and use the 1TB drive as storage.
My final thought. A good deal.
P Shank : Great Computer for the Price

About
Lenovo G580 Pros: Keep in mind that I am writing this review with the price kept in mind. Now that that's out of the way, It is a great computer. Super quiet, Bright screen, responsive for the price (I'm doing word processing and such, haven't tried gaming). i3 processor! good specs
Cons: The HDD seems a little slow on the draw sometimes. The keyboard is semi-low profile form factor and gives a decent amount of resistance compared to the Asus tablet keyboard I'm used to (I'm not used to it, it may be good or bad depending on preference).
I believe it will be a good purchase. The backside seems easy to get into if I want to upgrade some stuff.
